Dr. Lim Hwee Yong is a medical oncologist and currently sits as Chairperson of the Neoplasia Committee and is a core member of the Medical Advisory Board at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital. Dr. Lim has led and participated in various important cancer research with a special interest in genomic mutational targeting and immuno-oncologic therapy for cancer.

Dr. Lim Hwee Yong received his medical doctor degree with distinction from University College Dublin, National University of Ireland. He did his postgraduate training in Haematology and Medical Oncology training at Huntsman Cancer Institute, USA. Dr. Lim held the American Board Certification for Internal Medicine, Haematology and Medical Oncology. Dr Lim currently sits as the Chairperson of the Neoplasia Committee at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital. He is also a core member of the Medical Advisory board at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital.

Dr. Lim did research training with Dr Josef Prchal and Dr. Charles Parker in the field of genomic mutational analysis and targeting. Upon return to Singapore in 2010, Dr. Lim joins the National Cancer Centre Singapore as a consultant medical oncologist and was a visiting oncologist to the Changi General Hospital, Singapore. He leads and participates actively in various important cancer research projects and on many cancer advisory boards and had participate in international speakers circuit and oncology forums in the fields of colorectal, hepatobiliary, pancreatic, gastric, genitourinary, thoracic and breast cancers. Dr Lim had also chaired and organized drug access forums for rare and orphan diseases like neuroendocrine group of cancers.

Dr. Lim’s research focus included genomic mutational targeting, immuno-oncology therapy and early and late phase clinical treatment trials. Dr Lim was part of the peptide receptor radionuclide therapy workgroup that helped establish this new form of treatment in Singapore. While in National Cancer Centre Singapore, he chairs the blood transfusion committee and is a member of the clinical trials steering committee. He was also the principal investigator of multiple research projects including multiple projects that was awarded the prestigious National Medical Research Council of Singapore grant funding.

Dr. Lim was actively involved in the education of doctors, medical students and nurses. He was a member of the Medical Oncology Residency Advisory Board that review and advice on medical oncology training structure and serve as examiner for medical oncologist trainee exit exams. He has published in international journals, authored book chapters, cancer treatment guidelines and served as an editor for the medical textbook.

Dr. Lim was the President of the Singapore Society of Oncology from 2012 to 2013. Dr. Lim is also a member of American Society of Clinical Oncologist, American Society of Haematology, American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, European Society of Medical Oncologist, Singapore Hepatopancreatobiliary Association and Singapore Medical Association.

Dr. Tan Min-Han is a visiting consultant medical oncologist at the Novena Cancer Centre Singapore,specializing in urological cancers and clinical cancer genetics. He is also a clinician-scientist and principal investigator at the Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology Singapore, where he leads the Laboratory of Systems Medicine.

Dr. Tan is an inventor of several practical diagnostic assays in oncology licensed to industry for development, designer of novel methods of drug delivery using green tea polyphenols, member of several international research and clinical collaborations and has contributed over 100 original papers spanning a diverse range of topics and has received international and national awards for contributions to research, teaching and clinical service. 

Furthermore, he is involved in teaching and mentorship to physicians, scientists and students, where he continues to teach at the National University of Singapore and Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School, as well as supervise and graduate PhD students, providing guidance for physician and scientist trainees at all levels.
